The brand saw the light in New York in 1837. In the beginning, it was focused on selling various luxury items and was then named Tiffany, Young & Ellis. A few years later, one of the founders, Charles Tiffany, took over the brand and introduced the stunning jewelry we still see today. Tiffany & Co was born.

At the time, only cash was accepted, and the prices for the jewelry were fixed – quite a particular way to do things back then. It was only when the founder acquired the Joyaux de La Couronne of France that the brand gained its reputation amongst the finest diamonds – and still maintains it to this day.

The famous New York boutique located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and the 57th East is one of the most visited establishments in the city – and has been popular since 1940. The splendid boutique was home to many movies, notably Breakfast at Tiffany’s, starring Audrey Hepburn, which helped grow the brand’s massive success.

Today, the label is mostly known for its diamonds as well as its gold jewelry, but also offers an array of accessories, such as sunglasses and household items.
