What better way to spend a weekend than to relax at a spa. Many beautiful addresses are hidden less than two hours away from Montreal, where relaxation and nature merge. Here are three spas to visit in the Eastern Townships.
It isn’t a surprise that this spa is in my top 3. The Balnea is one of my favourite places in Quebec. I strongly recommend a visit to this spa in the summer, when the Beach Club is open and when the Chefs’ Summer is happening. The Balnea is full of heavenly attractions. The view of the Gale lake is calming, and the modernity of the installations mixed with the beauty of nature is bound to create a sumptuous experience. Take a nap in the Moroccan salon, and relax with a drink in hand in the exterior spa. A luxurious experience is worth the trip to Bromont.
A spa that combines delicacy and richness and that is perfect for cocooning? That’s what the Strom is. They have a few addresses, one being in the Nuns’ Island, just a few steps away from Downtown. I visited the Mont-Saint-Hilaire Strom right before the Holidays, and although the location was the victim of a fire towards the end of the year, I cannot wait for it to reopen, because the newest installations are breathtaking. The Strom also has a location in Sherbrooke, where you can purchase a 3 or 6 months package, which is perfect for lovers of relaxation.
What makes the Eastman stand out from other spas is its hotelier approach. I love the idea of being able to stay at the spa, which allows me to truly relax and enjoy a complete staycation at one place. The Eastman offers various workshops, and is also home to a restaurant that offers a gluten-free and dairy-free menu. Health and wellness, that’s what brings clients back to the Eastman.
